SiliconSlave Member Policy

So you think you want to be a reviewer or moderator for SiliconSlave? Being a reviewer for SiliconSlave takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Conducting a proper review of a product takes a lot of coordination and planning to work.

Here is the typical workflow for a review:

Since a lot of work goes into our reviews, not everyone can be a reviewer. It takes a special person and opportunities will be very limited. If you think you have what it takes to be a reviewer then apply. Be sure to state what makes you a good candidate for being a reviewer. Remember that if you have nothing new to offer SiliconSlave’s audience then your membership will not be approved.

A real name and real contact information will be required as we have to be able to send you product for review. If an address cannot be verified or a person that cannot be contacted; this is a sure way to get denied membership.

The staff of SiliconSlave reserves the right to deactivate membership for any person at anytime without notification or justification. All real information collected during the enrollment process will be privately held and not exposed to the public. Only profile information regarding your online reviewer identity will be available for others to see. You are free to have this real, fantasy, or a combination of both. Please see other reviewer bios for examples of what will be shown.

Any member found acting inconsistently with the theme of SiliconSlave will be warned or deactivated (depending on the severity of the violation). Members are not considered employees of SiliconSlave or ToyTek Media, LLC unless there is written documentation signed by the CEO and President of ToyTek Media, LLC. No financial remuneration is available for reviewers unless they are employees or partners of ToyTek Media, LLC. All reviews submitted become the exclusive property of ToyTek Media, LLC. Products sent to reviewers are considered property of ToyTek Media, LLC and must be returned upon request (reviewer pays return shipment).

Failure to conduct a review (including entering it into SiliconSlave) in a reasonable amount of time (2 weeks) will result in deactivation of membership.
