Digital Playground and its President, Samantha Lewis received honors last night at the 5th annual XBiz Awards in Hollywood, California. On behalf of the company, contract stars Jesse Jane, Sophia Santi, Shay Jordan and Lacie Heart accepted a beautiful crystal trophy for 'Studio of the Year.' On stage Jesse raved, "Digital Playground is absolutely the BEST Company in the world! I am so lucky to work with Joone, Samantha, Robby, Celeste and all these sexy girls. Thank you XBiz for acknowledging us for the second year in a row!" Sophia chimed in with a loud salute to DP as the cameras flashed. Saving the best for last, XBiz president, Alec Helmy presented the "Business Woman of the Year" award to Samantha Lewis. She accepted the trophy amidst a barrage of applause, "This is amazing! Thank you Alec. Thank you XBiz. This acknowledgement means so much to me and to Digital Playground. I'd like to thank my incredible team, all my girls, my publicist and of course my incredible partner Joone. I would not be in this position without his brilliant and creative mind. It is such a privilege to be here tonight amongst all of you, each in a class of your own. This amazing web community has embraced us and we are looking forward to partnering with a lot of you this year. Thank you all!"

XBiz takes a unique 5-stage approach to recognizing and awarding companies. (1) Selection of Judges - XBiz invites judges, from seasoned representatives of major adult industry companies to individual webmasters, who have demonstrated exceptional talent in their field. Judges are grouped (maximum of 7 judges per group) and assigned to an award category not matching their primary business field. (2) Nomination Submissions - XBiz accepts nomination submissions from the adult industry community. Company professionals and webmasters may submit companies offering business products and services of excellence. (3) Nominee Announcements - Once the nomination submission period closes, final nominees are announced. (4) Judging Process - Judges rate each of the assigned final nominees based on a number of different qualities/criteria. (5) Announcement of Winners - Winners were announced and presented with the coveted Crystal XBiz award.
