Forbidden Tales is composed in an interesting manner. It appears to be set in the near future with Tera Partick playing the role of a cyborg story teller to a decrepit old man on life support. Tera Patrick is set in a CG environment that includes animations of her mechanical arm and host. Tera Patrick recounts tales of erotic adventures in medieval times. Each adventure usually starts out with a little CG introduction before launching into the sexual encounter. All of the encounters feature period costumes and feudal settings (castles, courtyards, cottages). Another appealing aspect of this film is that it appears to be shot in Europe and used a lot of local talent, so there are certain to be some fresh faces for those that like to see something new.

A quick rundown of the scenes:

Scene One (Tera Patrick): A queen promises a retired warrior general that if he repels the barbarian horde that he will get top status in her courtyard and a night of passion with her. The general comes out of retirement to not only conquer the barbarians but also the queen. This scene features an animation of the general returning from battle on a fantasy two legged creature.

Scene Two (Aria Debreaux): A wife of a masochistic king and a scholar have a secret rendezvous in a castle hallway. The scholar flies in on a winged dragon-like creature to meet his forbidden love.

Scene Three (Tera Partick): A woman (Jezebel) is jailed for her sins and each night she is visited and taken advantage of. Scene is set in a prison tower and features a CG animation of a guard walking across a rampart into the tower.

Scene Four (Tera Patrick): Jezebel is put on display in the courtyard each day with her head and arms clamped down. A guard takes a liking to her and has his way with her. This scene has a certain bondage aspect to it as some of the play is conducted while Jezebel is locked down.

Scene Five (Aramas Feldina): A couple, alone in a cottage display their passions for each other. The play takes place on a wooden bench in front of an old stone hearth. Very little CG here except a small shot of the cottage from the outside.

Scene Six (Tera Patrick): Tanya the only daughter of a rich man would sneak out in the morning to be with her lover. The scene starts out on a small wooden bridge and then moves to a more play friendly wide-topped stone railing.

Overall, I liked the film. The setting and costumes were great and it was nice to see some new talent. It was also great how Digital Playground was able to mix in some computer animation to help break up the scenes. About the only thing I would have added to this film was if the computer animation could have been mixed into the sex scenes similar to that seen with Roger Rabbit™. If you are looking for something a little different then the combination of medieval times, CG, and Tera Patrick is a hot choice.
