| I am often frustrated by standard vibrators which, due to their shape, fail to offer any stimulation to my g-spot. Do you feel the same way? Sometimes vaginal and clitoral stimulation is all I am after, which everyday utility vibrators excel at. However, there are times when I crave the deeper pleasure that only g-spot stimulation can provide. If your lover isn’t always as adept as you would like at hitting this elusive pleasure zone, don’t despair. Darlings, are you ready for this? Doc Johnson™ has an innovative product called the G-Spot Tickler™, which I review for you in this installment.
There are three models in the line, each associated with a different Vivid Girl. For those not familiar with that brand, Vivid is a popular producer of adult films. The unit I evaluated is Tawny’s G-Spot Tickler, which features a translucent yellow thumb control mechanism (see photos). Two other models are available featuring stars Savanna Samson (purple) and Janine (red).
Let’s delve into the control mechanism, shall we? I liked the golden yellow coloring of the Tawny model, which gave it a diva-ish elegance. One recommendation I would make to Doc Johnson to improve the product is to not make the control unit translucent. While some geeks out there might find it cool, it doesn’t interest me to see the inner workings – wires, solder, batteries, and such – of my sex toys. The toy accepts two AA batteries which are not included. A nice feature is the battery compartment door is hinged to the control unit, preventing the compartment door from being lost.
The level of vibration is controlled via a small thumb wheel. Vibration is multi-speed, ranging from low to high similar to the volume control on a stereo. A red LED illuminates with intensity that varies with the vibration speed. Measuring four inches in length and just less than one and a half inches wide, I found the control unit fit quite comfortably in my well-manicured hand. The thumb wheel worked well for me and I was able to easily adjust the level of vibration to my liking.
Roughly twenty-five inches of thin wire connects the control unit to the “business end” of the toy. Although wireless would be better, I found the wired control worked well with no major problems. You will want to take care not to bend the wire at sharp angles to avoid shortening the life of the toy by introducing electrical shorts. The pleasure-giving part of the toy consists of a vibrating silver egg (or bullet) mounted in the end of a three-inch long, flesh-colored, soft jelly thumb with a one-inch wide slanted tip (see photos). The thumb curves into the base, which features 24 raised nodules for clitoral stimulation. With this configuration, the toy provides both g-spot and clitoral stimulation simultaneously.
When my lover indicated his business trip was being extended by several days, I took the opportunity to test out the G-Spot Tickler. After pouring myself a glass of the bubbly, lighting some aroma therapy candles, and turning the lights down and the smooth jazz music up, I established the right mood for a little self pleasuring. Hey, I’m high maintenance, OK!!?? I used a small amount of silicone lubricant (other types of lube should work equally well) and put the toy to work. By varying the vibration speed and slowly working the stimulator with my other hand I was able to reach a divine orgasm within about five minutes. I will definitely be using this one again and again.
