Now that the kids are back in school after the Christmas break, I have found myself with a little more time on my hands. Of course my hands can’t stay idle for too long and it was time to break into my box of tricks to see if there is something new to review. What caught my eye today was the Acrylic Smooth Grooves G from Doc Johnson. This sex toy is part of Vivid’s Where The Boys Aren’t (WTBA) collection. Since there weren’t any boys around and it was up to me to pleasure myself, this seemed like a fitting vibrator to take for a test spin.
The Acrylic Smooth Grooves G is about 6.5 inches long and features a twist base that takes two AA batteries. This sex toy is a hard single speed vibrator. For a vibrator it is a little on the noisy side when in open air, but it quiets down once it is up against my flesh. I am guessing that it is a little noisier due to the hardness of the acrylic as it easily transmits the vibration noises. The Smooth Grooves is transparent and comes in a crystal and purple version. It has five rounded bumps along the shaft and a little bit of a curve at the end to help reach my G spot. Because it is made of acrylic, it is hard and has no give, so you will need to be careful when using it with a partner in much the same way as if you were using glass.
So I threw in a Cousin Stevie’s Pussy Party DVD and joined in with the girls and their sex toys to keep the theme of Where The Boys Aren’t. I added a little lubricant to the top and the smooth texture of the Smooth Grooves allowed it to slide right in. After a little probing, I turned on the vibrator by twisting the base. This vibrator only has one speed, so it is all or nothing. I found that the vibration was set at a good speed and I was able to easily get it to stimulate my G Spot. The bumps along the shaft also provided some nice stimulation as I stroked it in and out. The Acrylic Smooth Grooves G looked pretty between my legs with the lubricant and my juices on it. I liked the transparent nature of it as it reminded me of a glass toy without the expense and the added vibration sensation placed it in its own category of fun.
When I was done, clean-up was a snap. The fact that it is smooth, non-porous and acrylic allowed for a quick cleaning with soap and water. I used a clean towel to dry it off and it looked as good as new. About the only thing I would like to see improved on this sex toy is if it could be made a little quieter as sometimes I like to be a little more discreet, especially if I have guests staying over or the kids are home. If you are looking for something pretty like glass with vibration but without the expense of glass this may be just the sex toy for you. I guess this play date is over and I need to get some dishes done before the kids get home. |
