Alright darlings, you’ve seen dildos made of rubber, plastic, silicone, and more recently, glass. Are you looking for a way to one-up your girlfriends who seem to always have it all? Well, how about this: I bet you haven’t played with a ceramic dildo! This review features the G-Spot ceramic dildo by Atraw Ceramics. I happened to be getting my hair done at a posh Beverly Hills salon when one of the gals working there gave me the scoop on this fabulously novel toy. I immediately checked out the vendor’s website when I arrived back at my condo in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles.

At just over six inches in length, and approximately one and a quarter inches of girth, this toy is all business. My evaluation unit was pink with darker speckling throughout the shaft, which curved at the tip for g-spot stimulation (see photo). It had quite a heft in my hand as the ceramic material weighs quite a bit more than the typical cheap plastic used by foreign-made manufactured dildos. Unlike the units commonly on the market, this toy is a hand-made work of art, complete with initials of the artist engraved in the bottom.

I wasn’t sure whether to actually use this toy or display it in my glass case along with some of my other sensual art pieces that I’ve collected over the years. In the end I decided to give it a go as I have had a lot of experience with glass dildos which are more or less equally as hard. My current boyfriend was out of town on tour with his band so I decided a little solo action was in order. I treated myself to a nice dinner, took a long bath in my whirlpool tub, then popped the cork on some obscenely expensive champagne before slipping between my satin sheets with the ceramic dildo.

If you haven’t used glass or ceramic toys before, just take it slow in the beginning until you get used to it. These toys don’t “give” like toys made of other materials do, so it’s best to get used to the dildo before using it more aggressively. Mine worked nicely, and provided a break (no pun intended) from my favorite glass dildo. This ceramic toy is easy to clean because it is so hard and smooth. The thing to also note here is that it’s non-porous, which is safer than toys with small, barely visible pores. I always use anti-bacterial toy cleaner solution or wipes, and both worked well on this particular toy.

I encourage you to take a look at Atraw’s web site. They have a nice collection of different pieces, all quite beautiful. They make great conversation pieces and you’ll be the envy of your circle of friends with one of Atraw’s pieces.
