Since Internext was focusing on the Online Adult sector, it was only a matter of time before toy action was commercialized and brought online. Of note were two products for online fun – Sinlator and HighJoy.
One product is released and available for purchase and is from Sinulate Entertainment (www.sinulate.com) and is branded as the Sinulator.
The Sinulator appears to consist of five pieces:
- Commercially available toys that sport a mini-mic control jack.
- Wireless adapter that plugs into toy.
- Wireless adapter that plugs into USB port on a computer.
- Host software and drivers.
- Web-based client interface.
From what I can tell, from the demonstration – once everything is hooked together on the toy side, the remote user logs onto Sinulate’s web site and enters a unique ID for the toy. If the toy happens to be online, they are given control of the toy. On the host’s side there is another interface that allows the host to regulate how enthusiastic a response the toy gives to their partner’s remote direction. This sounds like a good feature as some impatient user might engage and go to warp speed before their partner has had a chance to warm-up and be ready for that type of action. The reason for the website interface is in order to allow customers to bypass the firewall issue that has hampered such remote connections in the past. I look forward to providing a full review of this product in the near future if the folks at Sinulate will accommodate us.
The other online product displayed at the show was the HighJoy enabled Doc Johnson Vibrator. This is quite a substantial vibrator that has been given a serial (RS-232) based interface so that it can be controlled through the computer. The HighJoy experience (www.highjoy.com) also has a set of computer based controls that give full control of the toy while also enabling a web cam experience. From what I can tell this product is not yet available to the market, so this is really a future product for now. I can’t wait to try it out with a few of my patients when it goes live.
A somewhat novel concept that got my attention was the StudTrainer (www.studtrainer.com). No this isn’t some torture device, think of it as resistance training for your penis. Essentially the StudTrainer is a mechanism for hanging various weights from an erect penis and combining it with exercise routines. The exercise routines in conjunction with apparatus are claimed to increase the quality of the erection as well as length and girth. I have my doubts about length and girth but I do agree with the exercise part increasing the quality of the erection. Looks like another product review could be in the works if the folks at StudTrainer are interested.
That pretty much wraps up the Toys of Internext 2004. I am excited about the remote control action that the future holds for us and I can’t wait until these toys mature to the point that they become a common part of our lives. I can just imagine the virtual house-calls I could give with this technology. |
