Recently the good doctor was looking for something to add a little something special to the sex toy fun and came across Liberator® shapes. At first I wondered, how could these be any different then stacking a couple of pillows under my partner? I quickly realized that pillows only do a mediocre job of comfortably supporting the lower back compared to the Liberator Wedge. The Liberator Wedge provides a comfortable yet firm support that allows for comfortable positioning of your partners hips in an elevated position. This is great; she can be on her back at an ideal angle for oral sex or on her stomach ready for doggy-style. What I really liked about this is that instead of having to bury my head in her lap during oral sex, I can now comfortably ease forward and fool around while having a good view of her and the TV (in case we are watching some hot movie together). The wedge also provides for a great angle for use with sex toys like vibrators and dildos. As far as doggy-style and missionary position go, the Liberator Wedge is great. It provides firm support while allowing me to penetrate very deeply. It seemed to me like the cries of passion were more intense and came a lot quicker then normal when we used the wedge.
What we also really enjoyed about the Black Label series is that it has the added feature of bondage cuffs and a blindfold. The shape can be used with or without the cuffs, but to kick things up a notch the cuffs can be secured with a clip to the wedge and to the wrist with adjustable Velcro. The cuffs are comfortable and do a good job of keeping you or your partner secured to the wedge. The Black Label also comes with a blindfold which is one of the better blindfolds I have come across in a while - it is comfortable, Velcro adjustable, and it has a lower padded bar that ensures no light can get in from any angle. This blindfold really blacks you out, so you have no idea what could happen next (very exciting). Combine the bondage with a feather, your favorite sex toy, a little oral action, and maybe an ice-cube or two and you can sexually tease your partner till they are ready to burst. The Liberator Wedge also comes in a Blue Label series that does not include the bondage gear (just in case you are not into that sort of thing).
A lot of thought and quality goes into the construction of the Liberator Wedge. It comes with 3 shells. The first shell is the carrying case made out of a lighter nylon and includes a shoulder strap. The next shell is a synthetic black velvety material (very comfortable) that allows for a decent grip on you and your bedding so you don’t slip around too much. The velvet shell can be removed and is machine washable making for quick clean-up. The inner shell is designed to protect the high-density foam core from body fluids and it can also be washed (same material as first shell). All shells are form fitting and have decent zippers. The foam core is very comfortable and provides excellent support. The regular model is designed to support up to 250 lbs, but there are larger models available if extra support is needed. The cuffs are made of what appears to be nylon (strapping and clips) and velvety cuffs with Velcro. The blindfold is made of a velvety material and a Velcro strap for just right sizing. Overall I would rate the package as a very high quality product that should last you through hundreds (if not more) of passionate sessions.
I can’t wait to try out the other Liberator shapes and the combinations. Reviews on the additional shapes (ramp, cube, stage) should be available over the next few weeks. I also hope to be able to pull together an article on using the shapes in different combinations. I already mentioned the Liberator series to some swinging friends of ours and they are very excited to give them a test-drive. I am certain that they will be the hit of the party and will leave everyone wanting a set of their own. So if you want deeper penetration, an introduction to bondage, or just some exciting new angles on sex – I would definitely prescribe the Liberator Wedge.
