After receiving the game, my partner and I ran into a situation that screamed for some sort of ice breaker to help the evening progress. We had already read the instructions so we could help our other play mates through the game. The basic number one rule of the game is that no one has to do anything they feel uncomfortable with and that there is a graceful exit from all hands. The action of the game is a combination of stripping, kissing, caressing, masturbating, sex toy play, and fantasy. If ever someone didn’t feel comfortable with a request (like my partner telling me to stick a vibrator up my ass) then you can always choose to draw a card from the deck (which I quickly did - ouch). To speed up the action there are a few wild cards called Flaunt It cards that essentially act as remove two to all pieces of clothing. Should all pieces of clothing be removed then, they become fantasy cards.

Game play starts with picking a dealer and everyone being dealt an equal batch of cards. The object of the card part of the game is to get rid of your cards. Cards are one of four color and consist of three basic types. The first type is a number card – this represents how long a specific action is to be performed. The second is an action card – that could range from kissing to causing another player to skip a turn. The third set are wild cards or Flaunt It! cards – these cards are good for getting rid of clothes quickly and transitioning to fantasies. Play works by matching a card in your hand to the color or number on the card on top of the discard pile. If you play an action card on top of an action card then the action is performed for 1 minute by or with the person of your choosing. If an action card is played on top of a number card then break out the included timer (battery inlcuded) because you are in for that many minutes of pleasure. A number card on top of a number card doesn’t yield much fun, but you did get rid of a card. If you can’t match a card, you can always use a wild card to change the color of the suit while having someone remove an article or so of clothing. If you can’t play a card then you must take a card from the deck. This type of play continues until you run out of cards. If need be start again till everyone is fully enraptured.

I found that over aggressive players will try and play their Flaunt It! All card right from the start to quickly get someone undressed. This can be averted by choosing to pass and drawing a card from the deck. So you can really slow the game down as much as you need to – to feel comfortable. Where I really see the value of this game is for couples that are new to each other and for groups that are new to each other. Flaunt It! provides an excellent method for exploring fantasies in a fun environment. Have a partner that wants to jump straight to bump and grind while you would prefer to explore some fantasies, then get them to play the game. Perhaps this will get them to slow things down and try something new.

I think it is a good idea to have a few ice breaker tricks up your sleeve. Flaunt It! joins distraction pool and strip Jenga™ in my hall of fame swinging party games. The fact that Flaunt It! also adds in sex toy play puts it over the top as a must have addition. I definitely prescribe Flaunt It! for ice breaking fun.
